I had really fun 4th July celebration.
We went for hiking at Dawn Mine @ Millard Canyon. They said it's
one of the hardest and most challenging hiking track. Considering
this is only my 2nd hiking experience, I felt so intimidated before
even begin.
Everyone was supposed to meet at 7.30am, but we only begin at 9am.
Before the journey even begun, I had this urge to pee. So I hide
in the bushes to pee with so many bees flying around me. What a
scary experience. I know..GROSS!
The track was so easy in the beginning, normal wide road that became
small tracks. Then slowly we walked down towards the river with
a slippery tracks, coz most of the soil mixed with small rocks and
not solid.
We then came across so many rocks, from big to small. We had to
climb on that rocks, walk on the rocks or even jumped. We had to
walk on the normal tracks, pass the rocks, cross the river and again
the normal tracks.
There were few big rocks that we thought we cant go through at all,
but we managed anyway. It's really fun. I love every part of this
hiking.
The final destination of this hiking was the Dawn Mine with a small
cave as the entrance. Everyone almost gave up coz it's so tiring
and long. But we did it finally, after 2+hrs. We went into the cave
too, but not too far deep inside coz it was a total darkness.
However, in this hiking, Steve got blister on his foot coz of his
shoes, Halim got hurt on both of his knees coz he pulled wrong muscles
and EVERYONE body got so tired and aching, especially on the next
day.
It took me 1/2day to rest.
