What a weekend

Lately I've realised how much weight I've gained since we got married and how my jeans are getting tighter and tighter. I've since been complaining this to Steve saying "I need to do cardioooo".

So out of the blue, he called Benny asking if we could go to his apartment to use the gym facility in his building. He said "come, I wanna go gym too". So off we went coz I was so sleepy already by then. Steve said "you need to exercise so you'll be fresh". So we went to the gym with Benny and joined by Heru later on.

I haven't do any cardio for so long, that I only lasted 18mins on elliptical machine. I did some weights too. Later on, we showered at Benny's house, then bunch of us went to Old Pasadena (a strips of outdoor boutiques) where Oli and Sierra did some shopping. Then Sierra said she wanna do some cooking at Benny's house.
So I offered to make Bruschetta coz I never like the idea of FREE FOOD. Ya, the clamp pasta made by Sierra is super yummy and I failed on my bruschetta :p

At the end of the night, my thigh were achingly sore coz I havent' do any cardio for so long. gosh! like old lady.
the following morning, my arms were sore, esp my triceps coz I was focusing so much on my triceps in the gym. but i feel good overall thinking "I've done something good for my body"...will go there again on this coming Thurs. horray!

On Sunday morning we had praying service at Vihara. Somehow I jst felt inspired to help out in the Sunday School and feels like contributing something to help spread Dhamma, even to little kids. So I did help. End up, they are organizing a school play for this upcoming Vesak day and i ended up volunteer to create/made 4 Daun Bodhi (Bodhi leaves) made out of cardboard and tube. Lets hope it works out.

Something else also happen on Sunday which made Steve and I even stronger as a couple. Which also made me so relieved that so far my hubby has made lots of good actions, that people are trusting him and have no doubt in him and believe he is a sincere man.

I jst hope all these challenges will pass soon....I believe in this motto from Ajahn Brahm that "This too shall pass". We jst need to keep a balance mind in facing all these challenges.

So after the praying service, we all went to Ko Sena's house for another short meeting/discussion. Then we went to Bhante Chou Chu's vihara to discuss about renting their place for this upcoming Vesak Day celebration. Then suddenly I was asked to help in the event to sit at the front desk to greet/welcoming ppl coming in. hahahahaha
Just when I said to Steve "I feels like helping out" yesterday, suddenly people are approaching me, as thou they could read the sign in my forehead.

Oh anyway. Mother's day is coming and I've since made 2 cards for both our mothers. Of coz I've forgot to put the ' sign in the card, so I'll edit on it later on.
These are the cards.

Finally I'm done 'doctoring' my blog site. Added and changes some colors here and there from the design template, but still have no idea how to put a horizontal after each post and how to make that annoying "Post under ... category" line into much smaller font.

Anyway, now I wanna try to upload some of my DIY cards here. Lets see if it works too.
