4 days in Sydney

Finally back to Sydney after 4 years. So what has changed? Quite a number, but there are still those landmarks that never go away. Even those shops at strategic places, must be making money even thou it's branded and expensive.

So what have I been doing on my 1st 4 days in Sydney?

Day 1
- Slept for 2hours at bro's home.
- Woke up, get ready. Out to nearby cafe for coffee and lunch
- Had delicious coffee and very full lunch (penne)
- Walked myself to Darling Harbour, had a walk around, took pictures like tourist, shopped at Cotton On ;p (realized it's cheaper in SG than Syd)
- Had Japanese dinner with bro and vanessa (my soon-to-be Tua Soh)

Day 2
- Had OZ hearty breakfast with bro and vanessa at nearby cafe overlooking dock
- Met up with Laura at her apartment, took bus to Paddington Market (had hotdog there), walked down from up the hill slowly and visit each boutique. She shopped.
- Had Ramen for dinner at City. Took bus home and rest.

Day 3
- Had dim sum with bro's and vanessa's friends
- Did some grocery, planning to cook but still haven't thou
- All of us work out at gym and swim at the indoor pool.
- Vanessa cook dinner and invited her friends over. yummm

Day 4
- Took bus to city and UNSW. Re-visit old uni.
- Had crappy coffee but super delicious wedges with sour cream and sweet chili sauce at uni
- Took lots pic like tourist and ignored those students who stare at me like I'm alien!
- Took bus back to City, alight at Opera House thinking it's nearer. How wrong was I.
- Took wrong turn...finding my way back home. Walked for 2hours then finally reach home.
- Back home, leg super aching.
- Lucky vanessa cooked dinner, yet again.

After re-visiting UNSW, I realized it's not so great the place :p
It's not that big and there are so many students, asian and young people. Noticed those students are so carefree, just lounging around, chit-chat, and sun-tanning on the little patch of park there.

After 4 days here, I also realized I've not been walking that much ever since I left Singapore. Gosh...my leg got tired easily now...but I still got that hidden muscle somewhere in my thick calves :p

I almost forgot how much I enjoyed walking around. It's free. I could enjoy the breeze from the wind, smell the air, really watch the surrounding, memorizing roads better. In fact, I couldn't remember my way whenever I'm in the car. I could memorize better when I'm walking or in the bus. Silly or not!

Besides, it's a really good exercise. No wonder I'm slimmer in Singapore than when I was in LA. Coz hubby always drive me around in LA and you can't go anywhere without car in LA. Sydney and Singapore are the same ....you can get around without car. You can just walk, take bus, train or taxi. Metropolitan city. Unlike LA, it's a very laid back country.....IF..you don't live in downtown.hehehehehhe
