My Cooking Gallery

Would like to post some of my cooking recipes (11 first) in here along with the pictures. Often I don't measure my ingredients to the last details, I'd just eye ball it. So, I won't be listing the exact amount of ingredients to be put in.

Good luck in trying and do let me know what you think.

1) Grilled Pork Rib, Sauteed Prawn & Brocolli

Ingredients:
- Pork Rib | - Prawn
- Brocolli | - Garlic
- Salt + Pepper | - Spring Onion
- Flour | - Dry spices for meat

Method:
- Marinate pork with salt, pepper & dry spices (at least 30mins)
- Boil salt water. Once boiled, put brocolli inside for 1-2mins
- Chopped garlic, stir fry until fragrant, pour brocolli in. Add salt just a bit, cook for about 1-2mins. Done.
- Stir fry garlic until fragrant, put prawn, cook until prawn is cooked (pink).
- Add bit of margarine (I used vegetable spread), sugar, and flour. Mix it all until praw are sticky (means sugar & flour are mixed). Done.
- I used electric indoor grill to grill the pork. Very easy. Just grill each side until tender.
- Once done, squeeze 1/2 lemon on it. Put BBQ Sauce. Done. Serve on plate.

2) Grill Pork Rib with Tomato & Red Pepper (Very Easy)


Ingredients:
- Pork (marinate with salt, pepper & dry spices)
- Slice Tomato & Red Pepper (seed remove)
- Lemon

Method:
- Grill the sliced tomato & Red pepper until tender.
- Grill the pork until tender (cook).
- Squeeze lemon over it. Put BBQ Sauce. Serve on plate.

3) Grill Pork, Sauteed Sweet Apple & Battered Vegetables


Ingredients:
- Marinate pork with Salt, pepper & Dry spices
- Slice Apple, Asparagus & Red Pepper

Method:
- Cut Asparagus into 1/2 1st. Put inside boiled hot water for 1-2mins, to soften the stalk.
- Dip asparagus & red pepper into egg, then cover it with flour to deep fried. Done.
- On hot wok, put margarine and apple. Cook for 2-5mins until apple bit soft.
- Put sugar, mix. Then put flour and mix until all soft, sticky and brown. Done.
- Grill pork each side until tender. Once done, squeeze lemon & put BBQ sauce. Serve.

4) Steam Curry Chicken with Rice


Ingredients:
- Chicken | - Curry Powder
- Carrot | - Onion
- Garlic | - Cilantro (Coriander)
- Salt & Pepper | - Sesame oil

Method:
- Marinate chicken with salt, pepper & curry powder (20-30mins). Boil water to steam.
- Chopped carrot, garlic & onion into small sizes.
- Stir fry onion until soft, add garlic, cook abt 1-2mins until cooked/fragrant.
- Tear off aluminum foil into small-med square size, put marinated chicken in middle, add garlic+onion, carrot, cilantro & 2 drops of sesame oil inside. Wrap to cover.
- Once all wrapped, put on to steamer (make sure water is boiled already).
- Steam for 40-45mins. The longer it's steamed, the more juice the chicken will produce, and the tender the meat will get. Once cooked, it's done. Serve on plate.

5) Balado Egg (Telur Balado)- Very Easy


Ingredients:
- Boiled Egg | - Green & Red Chilies
- Garlic | - Tomato
- Salt & Pepper

Method:
- Cut tomato, garlic & chillies into small sizes. The smaller the better. Can also blend if lazy.
- Stir fry garlic until fragrant, add chillies until it smells spicy.
- Add tomato, until it's soft. Add boiled egg.
- Mix until all blended well. Done. Serve on plate.

6) Balado Chicken (Ayam Balado) - Very Easy


Ingredients:
- Same with Telur Balado, except change egg with chicken.
- Salt & Peppe

Method:
- Marinate chicken with salt & pepper.
- Make some cuts on chicken so it can get cooked inside.
- Heat oven to 375F. Add the chillies mixture on to the chicken. When it's hot, put chicken inside.
- (If it's chicken breast, I will suggest to boil it 1st until it's 1/2 cooked, then only put into oven. Otherwise it'll get dry)
- Oven for around 30-45mins. Check to see if chicken is cook before or after it. If not, put it inside again until it's cooked. Once done, serve it.

7) Chicken Kebab (Easy)


Ingredients:
- Chicken | - Red pepper
- Tomato | - Onion
- Garlic | - Salt & Pepper

Method:
- Marinate chicken with salt & pepper (abt 30mins).
- Cut tomato, red pepper & onion into bite sizes.
- Peel off garlic's skin and cut into 1/2 only.
- Soak skewers into water (they said to prevent it getting burn)
- Insert chicken, tomato, red pepper, onion & garlic into skewers. Arrangement depend on individual. For me, I alternate it. Chicken, garlic, red pepper, chicken, onion, tomato, etc.
- I grilled onto electric indoor grill. Grill per side for about 3-5mins until meat is cooked. Done. Serve.

8) Grill Pork, Sauteed Sweet Apple & Vegetables

Ingredients:
* Very similar to recipe no.1
- Marinate pork with salt, pepper & dry spices
- Slice Apple, Asparagus & Carrot
- Garlic, Flour, Margarine

Method:
- Let pork marinate for about 30mins. The longer the better.
- Put asparagus into hot boiling water (fire off) for 1-2mins to soften the stalks.
- Stir fry garlic until fragrant, add carrot and asparagus. Add salt & pepper to suit taste. Done.
- Put margarine on hot wok, add apple, cook abt 5mins.
- Add sugar & flour into it, mix constantly for 1-2mins only. or until apple is soft, sticky and brown. Done.
- Grill pork each side about 5mins until cook. Done. Serve. (I actually oven the pork for this recipe and the mean is too dry and chewy. So I recommend grill it instead).

9) Steam Tofu with Pork (Very Easy)


Ingredients:
- Cold tofu (I used silk)
- Ground (minced) pork
- Garlic & Carrot
- Salt, pepper, red pepper flakes (chili powder), & Soy Sauce.
- Cilantro & Spring Onion.

Method:
- Boil water into steamer pot.
- Cut garlic & carrot into small sizes.
- Stir fry garlic until fragrant, add pork. Cook until pork is cooked all over (brown).
- Add carrot, soy sauce, salt, pepper & chili powder.
- Mix until all blended & cook. Abt 2mins.
- Pour cold tofu on plate/bowl, pour cooked pork on top.
- Put on steamer, let it steam for just 2mins. Take out.
- Chopped cilantro & spring onion, pour on top of pork. Serve.

10) Fried Chicken using Sinar Pagi Spices with Home-made Chili


Ingredients:
- Marinate chicken using the spices (bought from Indo, but can be any spices). For about 30mins.
- Chili, Garlic, Tomato & Lemon.

Method:
- Boil water. Once boiled, put marinated chicken inside until water almost gone (sauce thick).
- While being boil, take out blender (I used traditional chili maker when I crushed it into small round stone thing).
- Crush/blend chili, garlic, tomato together. Add salt, mix it again. Add sugar too if it's too spicy.
- Squeeze bit of lemon (1tsp), mix, taste according to your taste/ability. Done.
- Once chicken boiled. Hot oil on wok until very hot.
- Put chicken on it (use pan cover so oil won't splatter all over).
- Cook each side until brown. Once done, serve with chili.

11) Spicy Pork with Lettuce Cup (Very Easy)


Ingredients:
- Ground Pork | - Carrot & Tomato
- Lettuce & Cilantro | - Garlic
- Soy sauce, Pepper & Chili Powder

Method:
- Cut garlic, carrot & tomato into small sizes.
- Stir fry garlic until fragrant, put pork into it. Cook until pork is cooked all over.
- Add carrot & tomato, stir about 1-2mins. Add soy sauce, pepper & chili powder. Stir abt 1-2mins until all blended. Taste it according to your taste.
- Wash lettuce leaves/cups. Drain and shake excess water.
- Serve on plate.
- To eat: scoop meat on to lettuce cup, fold to small size, eat.
